About Our Doctors

Dr. Gerald Karr

Dr. Gerald Karr has been in the specialty of orthodontics since 1976. He received his undergraduate education from East Tennessee State University and his dental and orthodontic education from the University of Tennessee. He completed his postgraduate orthodontic residency at the University of Tennessee in Memphis. He is an officer in the Tennessee Dental Association and is a member of the America Dental Association, the American Association of Orthodontists, and the Eighth District Dental Society.

Dr. Karr is a fellow of The American College of Dentists, the International College of Dentists, Southern Association of Orthodontics, and the Tennessee Association of Orthodontics.

Dr. Scott Blackman

Dr. Scott Blackman joined our practice in 1996. He received his undergraduate and dental education from the University of Tennessee, where he also completed his postgraduate orthodontic residency. He is an officer in the Tennessee Dental Association and is a member of the American Dental Association, the American Association of Orthodontists, the Tennessee Dental Association, Southern Association of Orthodontics, Tennessee Association of Orthodontics and the Eighth District Dental Society.

Dr. Karr and Dr. Blackman use a team approach to provide our patients with the most comprehensive and advanced orthodontic treatments available.
